Does anyone know of a device that ties a fish, cinch knot onto a hook quickly?
When I was fishing in the waba at th hk in ont. ca. our guide had a little silver device that ties a cinch knot in asp. I can tie the knot but this was like lighting fast. But I can not find one. Anyone know of it and where I can buy it! I come from a 3rd gen. of big time crazed walley and muskie people who will probably think I am nuts but it was amazing for speed, and my npn. for northerns will come in handy. I found something that I like, it is not used for tying a improved cinch knot. it actually works on the principal of the line twist around itself and has a higher break strength. I am unable to put a picture or drawing of it in this answer but you can contact me about the item.
If you know what the tool looks like go to your local sporting goods stores and look around. Also try Academy Sporting Goods, Gander Mountian, Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops.
If you are looking for a quick and strong knot use the Palomer Knot. It has 100% of the line strength in the knot.
