What's a good gaming mouse?
I'm looking for a gaming mouse with programmable buttons (5 or more), that is completely silicone and rubber free (the 'wheel' and underneath is excepted) as I have an allergic reaction.
I've been looking at some and like the 'Logitech MX518' and the 'Microsoft Sidewinder'. Does anyone wknow if they have/haven't got rubber or silicon, or a similar mouse that would be safe for me to use?
(I also like the 'Logictech G9X' but it's out of my price range)

Just to clarify, the silicon/rubber issue is the MOST important to me, so if possible can you confirm/deny it's presence?

there are many good gaming mice such as logitech,microsoft and labtec(ha,ha) however when it comes to serious gamers the only name you will hear is "razer "(http://www.razerzone.com/)
razer are used by the best online and offline pc gamers and this is due to their design and performance... they make gaming mice with over 5000dpi(dots per inch) sensetivity .... basically the more dpi the more precise the mouse can operate....which equates to sharper turns in shooters and better performance in adventure games
but which razer mouse is the best... well the "Razer Naga MMO Gaming Mouse"( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/176741 ) ..... is one mean peice of kit.. and allthough £60 may seem alot this mouse will kick some ...... combine this with the "Razer Lycosa UK Gaming Keyboard - USB"( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143289 ) and you will have a gaming set-up pretty hard to beat
you need to be careful not to buy some of the far east rubbish that gets sold ... these may cost under £20 and have more lights than a airport runway.. however they are absolutely rubbish and theres also been reports of toxic coverings being used
finally another mouse worth checking out is the "SteelSeries Xai Wired Gaming Mouse - USB"( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/174133 ) ..... this is another expensive mouse and is made extremely well... very robust and has a dpi of 5000(maximum )
