Computer hangs if something is plugged in the usb port?
Had this problem with XP-32 and the same with W7-64! If something is plugged into the Usb Port Hub the computer hangs during startup, just before the Windows splash screen. In the main onboard ports (front and back) NO problem, only in the (self-powered) hub, and only if the device is powered up. In XP safe mode where it displays the startup data, mup.sys would be the last thing to display when it froze, haven't tried that with W7 but I assume it's the same thing. I'm fairly computetr literate but this has me stumped. There are lotas of other poeple asking simioar questions but the answers are always guesswork or very simple stuff i've already tried. Why hasn't M$ tackled this?
