How do I connect a high def tv w/ one hdmi output, to directTV, and a home audio system?
We have an Olivia TV (with one hdmi port) that is connected to Direct TV - I would like to purchase a home audio system, panasonic SC-PT760. How do I connect all three? do i need a splitter? or a hub?

Connect Direct TV to TV via HDMI
The panasonic SC-PT760 has a single optical digital audio port, so connect via optical cable the Direct TV box to the home audio system optical input.
Connect the video output of the Panasonic to TV via component (as good a HDMI!)
You don't need anything else.
