notepad vs laptop for high-school?
I am going into year 11 next year. I am wondering what I should use for school work. A laptop or traditional note pads (books).
I like using the laptop but drawing complicated diagrams for physics / chemistry is hard. I also done know if it very good for you sitting in front of a computer for around 6 hours everyday.
I find books are pretty good and writing by hand will help with tests. The thing i dont like about them is they are heavy if you need to take 5 of them to and from school.
Could you please say which option you would suggest and why?
Or do a couple of pros and cons for each?
thanks in advance. i really appreciate it!
so far i am leaning towards books. I want to be a pilot so I shouldn't risk bad eye sight from the laptop. Also the idea of a binder sounds great. It would make it a lot easier to carry the stuff as well.
Laptop:
-Much easier to use/write notes, quicker/faster, less time wasted, convenient, (sometimes easier to look for something you need right away).
-Like you said, harder to draw diagrams, loading time may be slow (depending on your laptop), looking at a laptop for a long period of time is bad for your eyes, if you drop/damage it you lose all information unless you back it up.
Note pads:
-Easier to draw diagrams, writing will help your writing skills especially in tests.
-It's heavy as you need to take a few to school, it's a bit of a hassle, losing one pad means losing one whole topic's worth of notes.
Ultimately I'd prefer note pads because you will always need your writing skills (and even though there are more reasons for laptops), but I wouldn't risk having bad eyes just for the convenience of laptops. But then, it's up to you in the end
