Upgrades for a Dell Inspiron Mini 9?

Just wondered If there was any clever upgrades I could do with the unit?
I will be swapping the 1gb of memory for 2gb, I will also have the unit linked wirelessly to a 250gb external hard drive via my Belkin USB network Hub so in theory HD space shouldnt be a problem.
Just wondered If there was anything anyone else would do? Ive been using Vista Ultimate and actually quite like it, but Im guessing this little unit wouldnt cope with Vista Ultimate so XP SP3 will be a better option for it?
a netbook with those specs could rather easily handle any vista setup. XP would speed things up a notch, but Vistas functionalities (and continued support) are beginning to grow on me. If you'd like, set up a separate partition on the solid state drive and install a streamlined version of Vista, such as TinyVista
