what is the thickest tire size I can put on 16x8 wheels for a 69 camaro?
I have a 69 camaro (6 cylinder) I'm thinking of keeping the original look but going with the after market 16" rally wheels with chrome hub caps. Camaro is not mini tubbed but may get a 2" drop.

A 255/50/16, 255/55/16, 255/60/16 would be the widest. It depends upon what backspacing you have on the wheels and how tall of a tire you need. If you go with a 2" drop, the 255/50/16 would probably work. You need to measure the backspace for the wheels and get it to look centered on the vehicle. If you measured wrong, the tires will rub on the inside or outside. Any tire store can measure it for you if you don't know how to do it correctly.
